Hi i am having a problem with my female german blue ram. Everytime The male german blue ram swims by her she chases him and nips his side kinda. She doesnt chase him for more then a foot i guess she is just "Warning" him. And sometimes she goes up to my cory cats and touches them and the cory cats jump and swim away. The ammonia reading is a lil above 0 since its a newly tank and the ph is about 6.9. My question is if she will stop being aggressive anytime soon. I purchased these guys about 3 1/2 weeks ago. Thanks

What if i got rid of the female would the male be happier to live by himself withthe other fish listed below? plus 13 glowlights that i haven't added to my signature yet.

Well, rams are cichlids. They are territorial and can be aggressive. As long as the female's not doing any damage to the male, I'd just leave them be.

should cool off after a while, I have the problem with my male.

If it ever gets too bad I just seperate him for 2-3 days and try to condition her for breeding (what I think he secretly wants :) )
