I don't think it would be a good idea considering the tank is only 5gals. It needs to be larger in case they don't get along and the get into scraps, leaving them places to hide.

The point of quarantine would be to make sure you're not introducing any diseases into the established tank with the other fish. I wouldn't worry too much about the loneliness at the moment, it'll all be soon over and there's no need to stress out another female in the process. JMO

Also, two is a bad number for female bettas. You want to keep at least 4 together to spread out the agression.
