Hi everyone.

I know a 28l tank is enough space for a female betta, but could you add neon or ember tetras to a tank that size with a female betta?

Thanks?

Too small for tetras, but you could add some shrimp and snails! If she gets along

What do you mean by this? I said that tank is only big enough for one Betta, and no other fish. ?
i think they are saying IF there was a betta and tetras in a small tank together

Thank you everyone. I thought it was too small. I'd been advised that a tank that size was big enough for 2 or 3 female bettas - which I knew wasn't true, so I thought I had better check.

Are there any other fish you would recommend for a tank that size other than betta, or is one betta the best option?

You could do a shrimp only tank. Other than that, a 7g is just to small for any fish (besides a Betta) IMO.

or 1 SMALL mystery snail once it grows out just move it to another tank

the first part(I disagree 3 gallons is a low as I'll ever go though) was aimed at you. the second part of the post was telling the OP that tetras can be nippy. sorry for the confusion.
I never said anything about keeping a Betta in a tank, under 3 gallons. I said that 7 gallons is really only enough room for one Betta.
