This was my first "short-finned" betta. I thought it was a male for the longest time.
Kinda odd how her tail is pointed. It's kinda twisted, so you it's hard to see the true shape.

lol I woulda thought it was a male too.

Cute froglet's

Good Pics!

I like the froggy were u get it?

The betta might need some treatment his fins are clamped... :)

Your frogs are cute, now all they need is a Lilly Pad :D
ps: your betta does look a little stressed out, like Joker said her fins are clamped

Cute girl.

I've never heard of those frogs. Do they require the same care as ADFs?

Thanks guys. :D

Her fins have always been like that, she rarely flares. Her tail was more of a "spade" when I got her, but has since grown longer. She's actually colored up more over the last few monthes. I don't want to add meds unless I know something is wrong.

Joker - I got them at the Petsmart on Broadway. They were only like $1.99 each.

Cutechic - they're not fully aquatic, nor are they scavengers like ADFs. I feed them about 3 small crickets each, twice a week. I also give them live blackworms once in a while, but I have to use a medicine dropper, because they won't go underwater for food. Info is scarce. This is the best page I've seen:

Awesome pictures! I loooove those frogs :hyper:

So not fully aquatic? Do they come out  :*)
Thanks. :D

Mine never come all the way out. They like to stay submerged, with just their nostrils and eyes out of the water. They remind me of little gators when they are covered in Duckweed, with their eyes peeking out. I have 2 pieces of driftwood that stick out of the water, and they never sit on them, even with the light off, when I sneak up on them. :shifty: I had a cork "raft" (made for crabs I think) in, and they never used it.

I saw a few sitting on a nozzle out of water at Petsmart, but I'm pretty sure it was to avoid the strong current, which they seem to dislike.
