One Angelfish alone is not a good thing for him or the other fish. I agree with @utahfish, I had a mated pair of angelfish in a 55 gallon tank without a mated pair you should have at least 5 or more and a much larger tank. I keep my soft water fish (tetras/cory) in a tank that I add RO water to so it helps soften the water. Your mollies and platys are hard water fish like my guppies which I keep in their own hard water tank. It is not healthy to have fish in the wrong type of water, in the long run it will shorten their lives and cause extra stress.

Well , I thank you all for writing in this thread. I was concerned about the platy. But I don’t think anything is wrong with her. I know a lot of people are messaging regarding the angel. Yes , he’s in the tank with the others. My husband will not want to get rid of him. Trust me. I know better than to have him in there. But he won’t let me get another tank. I’ve tried and tried ... it’s unfortunate. But as of right now. I can only do my best.

I’ve made that very clear. He’s as stubborn as a mule.

He wants the fish. And I can’t get another tank.

Angelfish are so pretty too. I wish they were easier to house with other fish and didnt need such big tanks for a group
