Hi i have 2 Danio's, 5 Neon Tetra's and 3 Platty's in a 10 gal UK tank. I have bought some brine shrimp.

My question is the bags of shrimp seem to be the same size where ever i go but how much would you feed the fish? i am doing half a bag? is this enough or too little?

Cheers

Feed as much as the fish consume in a few minutes. Dont feed a whole standard bag full of live brine to them though, as they will lilkely fall to the floor of you 10 gallon and die. :) Nice treat! Fish love live foods!

with any food i just feed my fish as much as they can eat in 2 mins and then fish out any left over food :good:

Can I ask a question here about feeding my son's tetras??

When we sprinkle the food into the water, they don't go up to the top to feed... they wait for the flakes to drift down. Is this normal?? I always thought fish swam to the top of the tank to eat. ????

Just makes me wonder if they're getting enough to eat...

I currently have 2 Serpea Tetras who do the same thing - wait for the food to pretty much come to them. I have read on a few other forums that many people hold a few flakes down into the water to ensure that they get to their Tetras. So in my mind it seems to be fairly normal. More information from others here would be great though.

Take care,
Kris
