As title really. I just wanted to know what you fed them and why you decided to use what you do. Also do you feed anything different when conditioning them for spawning - i don't mean live foods

well each week mine get, flake, pellets bloodworm and occasionally a pea, not bred or planning on breeding anytime soon so no conditioning for me YET!

Hikari Bio-Betta pellets alternated with a betta flake (can't remember the brand, possibly Tetra). Once a week he gets bloodworms in jelly.

Not much thought went into what I feed him to be honest. I thought alternating between a pellet and a flake would be better than feeding the exact same everyday, and thought bloodworms would make a nice treat. I should probably add a bit more variety. Gonna hatch some brine shrimp soon, he loves 'em.

king brittish tropical flake, king brittish cory pellets (for the corrys but the girls love em!), hakari betta mini pellet, nutrifin flake, fresh snails(shells peeled off), frozen bloodworm/black mossie larvae/white mossie larvae/brine shrimp/dapnia/cyclops, freeze dried tubifex.

very well fed my fishys are :good:

Hikari Bio-Betta pellets, nutrafin flakes and little crisp things. All the fish get some brine shrimp once a week or freeze dried blood worms with some pea's.

I've always fed mine Hikari Betta Bio-Gold; they all love it :D LOL, I can sure tell when it's feeding time, they all go crazy hehe!
I also give them brine shrimp occasionally, they like that too.
& frozen bloodworms sometimes. ;)

I do about like everyone else, Angel gets Hikari Betta pellets every day---freeze dried bloodworms 2 to 3 times a week (usually 3 at a feeding) and then a betta flake or two every 2 to 3 days or when I feel like it. I know alot of bettas don't like flake food but over the last few years I've never had a betta to turn it down yet, I guess I'm fortunate.

Mine get hikari pellets, some betta tiny pellets and bloodworms in jelly. fresh food when my useless shop has it in,

My Beuatiful boy gets pellets, and every few days he gets brine shrimp. And every once in a blue moon, I give him cucumber. I actually gave him some just a couple days ago :D I also do partial water changes like once a week.

Well, my retired bettas eat pellet food most of the time, but get treats whenever I have leftovers.
For a normal diet for my breeders, I feed them as wide of a variety as I can come up with. I feed them cucumbers, shelled peas, boiled egg yolks, etc. For conditioning I feed them less vegies and more live food such as mosquito larvae and those little water fea thinks. They love those!!! And occasionaly they get a treat of yonge brine shrimp. I feed them this 2-3 times a day depending on their weight and personal prefered diet.
