My troppicals love zucchini - my betta didn't care for it though--I also tried leaf lettuce - no interest. He only loved peas.

I've heard of peas being loved by bettas, but how do you prepare so it will be able to be eaten?

Just shell the pea and break it into tiny pieces. If it's frozen peas, make sure they are thawed out. No need to cook them. It is a real treat to watch them - they dive for the peas and carry it around in their mouth like a little football.

You just cook a deshelled pea in the microwave for a couple of seconds, it needs to be deshelled though. Then you just feed them the muchy stuff in the inside. Mine love it.
I don't think peppers are good for them but I know zucchini and lettuce should be.

It is unnecessary to feed bettas' vegetables. They are carnivores. The deshelled pea is an exception to prevent constipation.

I think corn is hard to digest even for humans, if you did feed corn to the fish it'd probably be good to squeeze the shell off like with peas, if you haven't been doing that.
