I'm not sure If I am feeding enough or to little to the fish.
In one tank (I have 5 altogether) I have the bigger fish like SilverDollars and Guarami plus 2 goby bumble bees & 2 Angle .totalling about 10 all up in a 3 foot x 20'tank.
They get frozen worms (2 blocks) morning and night with a generous amount of flakes.

My Medium tank has the Kissing Gourmies (4) and dwarf (x 3)
They get the same as above

Tank 3 has 6 breeding Molly in 2 foot tank
They get 1 block of worms morning and night with flakes.

Tank 4 has ( 3 foot x 20 " ) about 20 assorted platy and swordtails. plus 2 Angle
and 2 bumble bees
They get 1 block and generous amount of flakes

My nursery has around 30 fry between 1 and 4 weeks and they get 1 worm block and crumbled up flakes.

All the tanks get cucumber to munch on

Thats my family to date and my husband is still here. Very patient fellow.
On the infomation given are you able to advise me if I'm doing the right thing?.

I look forward to your advice,
Madeleine

i personally think you are feeding way too much, but thats my opion.

I only feed my fish once a day, and thats either 3 quaters or a whole block of blood worms or some flakes and some algea wafers/algea pellets for the clowns.

Or maybe im underfeeding mine

feeding twice a day is good.....but I feed about a tenth of the amount you do!!!!

you must have some real FAT fishies :p

how often do you have to clean them tanks???...must be heapsa poops everywhere

(seriously...I read on some site about this guy who feeds 2 tiny pieces of flake to each fish...now that is ridiculous! some say watch them eat enough for 5 minutes etc etc...you are the best judge when it comes to your fish...but if in doubt - it is best to 'underfeed')

fish will die if you dont feed them ANYTHING for at least 5/6 weeks.

i think you can answer the question.

other than that i dont mix frozen and flake on the same day (i assume the flake expands in the fishes stomach (after a bellyfull of worms they'll not be too comfortable)

sorry to be so blunt but you really should reduce your feeding by 75% and not double up on frozen and flake.

the feeding frenzy you'll see once you reschedule will be well worth it i promise.
