Feeding The Bottom

Is there any tools out there for placing food at the bottom of the tank? 
 
 
 
I find that my bottom feeding fish are getting a raw deal. The flakes I place at the top don't make it down.

You can soak the flakes so they fall more quickly, but sinking pellets would be a much better option.

I use sinking wafers for my Cory cats. They sink pretty fast and the corys really seem to like them.

Hikari have a couple of options that would work for you: Micro Wafers, Sinking Wafers, Micro Pellets [very tiny size] and Tetra Prima are also sinking pellets. All would probably be healthier for your fish than flakes as well.

All bottom dwelling fish should have their own food, not just what happens to make it down there!
 
For cories, you want a meaty catfish pellet type food; the occasional algae wafer won't do them any harm, but they are meat eaters, not algae eaters

As mentioned, HIkari has proper food for bottom dwellers.
 
So does Kens Fish, I bought the catfish pellets.  Just put in one pellet per cory cat, and they love these.  I didn't see if you have cory, pleco or what for bottom dwellers.

I have some Spirulina food which sinks just like sinking pellets. Although other fish after eating their flake will go to the bottom to look for it because it tastes good.

Shrimp pellets. I feed one pellet per cory and I use Omega One if you're looking for a particular brand.

I ordered the ones with brine shrimp as well, and use them once a week.

My Julii's love freeze dried tubifex. They come in small cubes and float, but if you break them up in the water they scatter and sink. I've been trying out quite a few feeds for them lately, but they seem to go wild for the tubifex. As above. Shrimp pellets, algae wafers and Hikari sinking wafers will also work. Variety is a good thing.

Take a small glass or cup, I use a custard cup.  Dip it in the tank and get some tank water in it.  Set on counter, put the cube in there.  The cube will melt nicely.  Swish it around a bit, then 'rinse' the cup out in the tank.  The now melted tubefex will sink and the corys can get it easily.
