Just incase anyone else is having difficulty getting dwarf gourami to eat in a community tank, I've discovered that micro pellets do the job. Majority of them stay on the srface and ocuy the other fish, but a significant number float down through the water and the gouramis go after them. Unlike the larger pellets, they are swallowed whole, so there is no fighting over them either. Everyone is happy
