Don't really know don't do it any method like that, what I do is take peas shell and all, spinach, other greens I won't mention sorry its a secret recipe ^^ add some meat to the mix Not beefheart neither stuff like krill, cooked shrimp I then mix it with my blender oh how aweful it smells, than I bake it on sheets in the oven how rotten of a smell throughout the entire house, then it goes directly into a freezer till it is frozen then I break it up into peaces, I then in turn feed to all my fish. Ever since doing this I end up with TONS of food and really healthy fish and this is what I feed them on a regular basis, they get supplemented with bloodworms, brine shrimp and pellets, so when I measure out the weight in food 5lbs would be 5lbs of solid food with NO water ^^
maybe people who do this could put a thread together with simple plain ingredients and method and people could add what they want to mix to make it there own ectThat's a great way to do it shadow. I used to use a similar method when I was growing out discus, and they loved it. I suspect however that these guys/girls are trying to get just vegetables in their diet or possibly to relieve constipation (peas are good at that too.) But home made fish food is way cheaper and better quality than most store bought brands.
as above i an new and not sure how to feed them peas obv you dont put the whole pea in lol
just the centre or mash them up n put a bit in ect?
well the little bit they had was from boiled ones tbh there was no need to feed them peas anyway i just wanted to see if they liked them for future and referenceas above i an new and not sure how to feed them peas obv you dont put the whole pea in lol

god sake dont cook them. they have little enough value raw. i use frozen, thawed peas. i just pop them out of their skins and drop them in. i have never had to retrieve any, so don't know how to deal with that. if you feel your fish can only handle "cooked" veg, use tinned (check the salt though). even "par boiling" has a drastic effect on nutritional value. as anybody trained in nutrition will attest.
