This morning I woke up to find 27 molly fry. This is my first batch of fry and I need to no when I can start feeding them.I put some finely crushed flakes in the breeding trap with them but they just swam away.
Try using hikari "first bites" or TetraMinfry; they are very high in nutrition and come in a powder that the fry find very easy to eat and they have everything the fry need to grow healthy.
Somtimes the fry will not eat for the first day but i will still try feeding them as they could start anytime and need to be fed quite regually- about 3-4 times a day is good.
Just remember to take out any uneaten food after half an hour.
i starte feeding my gups 24 hours after birth, if u watch them being born u will notice small orange sacs hanginf off of them. with in a minute the sac is absorbed into the body. that sac is stored nutrients and keeps the fry alive for a good while after being born. in 12-24 hours they will begin to take in food. i suggest baby brine shrimp, microworms, or finely crushed flakes. when i say fine, i mean like dust, their mouths are only so big
