How can I feed my fish and make sure they all get something?
At the moment they are "trained" to go to the top of the tank once the lights are turned on.Thats fine BUT, becasue they are such pigs, some miss out on getting a feed.

The fish I have,
4 moss barbs
5 tiger barbs
4 mollies
4 guppies
5 Black neons
and 4 new fish I brought yesterday and can't remeber what they are.

TIA

For thoughs fish I could recomind using as suggested flake food and ganules which slowly sink to the bottom. But since all of this fish your listed are what I would consider "active" I wouldn't worry about them starving any time soon.

I do feed my fish flakes, and there is NO WAY the flakes are going to sink to the bottom so the others can get some food. The flakes are lucky to sink one inch below the surface...

I do this sometimes, but not all the time.
After feeding, I try to find the fish that didn't get any food.
I will then take those fish and put them in my breeding net.
I can now drop them some flakes so they can eat them.
When they're done, I'll release them back into the tank. :)
It works! It makes sure there are not hungry fish.

Easier way. Get a little jug, scoop a little water out of the tank so the jug has about 1 inch of water in the bottom. Put some flake in your hand, crush it up a bit so the flakes aren't huge, then drop them in the jug. Leave it for a minute, then mix the water/flake up with your finger or something. The flake will drop to the bottom of the jug. Now simply put fresh flake directly into one half of the tank, and pour the water/flake mix into the other half. It will sink/hit the bottom before the top feeders are done with thefloating flake.

That's how I feed my fry, only way I've found to get food down to them (they're still a bit nervous of moving too close to the adults)...

Sounds like too much work to me :D

my khuli loach died because it wasnt getting enough food from the flakes and it did not like the algea wafers i put in so :-( i lost him.... if you have bottom feeders like plecos, then algea waffers will be kool( eventhough my mollies and gouramis eat it too :S ) and for catfish n corys, get the pellets...

My fish eat everything, i have learned to feed different areas of the tank, at different times ;)

Just gets a little tricky, and have to make sure I dont overfeed

The flake we put in tends to be distributed evenly throughout the tank via the UGF outlets............makes it look like it is snowing........ :D

Although I am a little concerned that our Silver shark isn't eating a great deal.....he doesn't seem too keen on the flake.

Then once a week we give either live bloodworms or frozen "selection"...... :)

Everyone gets in on the Bloodworm feed...... :D :D

I sprink Flake on the surface - Which floats for ages

I also Take a pinch and hold it under water and release it in my stream from the filter - This stays suspended for long enough to be eaten - and the fish can chase it

I also add algea tablets / wafers wich stay at the bottom - Most of my fish have at least a nibble at these but my Plec soon chooses one and sits on top of it sucking away!!

Roger, keep your filter on and release the flakes under the water.
