Ive got a 63 litre tank with 2 bolivian rams 6 tiger barbs and 6 sterbai cory i also recently added 4 apple snails which are breading  I put a piece of cucumber in a cup in the microwave for 40 seconds then let it cool down and put it in my tank..... i was told my tiger barbs would go made for it but they didnt really even seem botherd  i didnt feed them at all that day until i put it in and realised they didnt want to eat it. Is there a way i can get them to eat it?

I've got a snail problem  so have been putting cucumber in a jar to trap them. Am I supposed to microwave it first? Is that to clean it?

No you put it in the micro wave first to make it softer the fish prefer it softer...My snails love it but my other fish dont seem to like it lol =(

You can soften cucumber by just soaking it in boiling water.
Fish sometimes turn there noses up at veg when you first try. Just keep trying.
Remove uneaten food.

Fish can also eat peas, broc, sproats, green cabbage, spinach, lettuce.
Some members even feed carrot, apple, bananna, tomotoes.

i feed my fish cucumber all the time. i just take it straight out of the fridge and cut it to how i want it and place a lead weight on it and drop it in. i dont bother with all this heating it and what not. i just drop it straight in and my fish go mad for it. at first when i started adding it they were not to sure but now they go mad

Yeh you don't need to 'blanch' it first, it's fine to go in straight from the fridge.
My parrot prefers poking at it that way... He eats anything, even snails!
