I just got a jar of Tetra Dried Baby Shrimp at the local WM. I assumed they'd be teeny tiny but they're big enough that i'm worried that my bettas will choke on them whole. So could I mash them into littler pieces and it would be fine? The package says fresh water shrimp not brine shrimp so I want to make sure it won't hurt them...

I bought those for my bettas once and I found them too large too. I broke them into very small pieces but my guys didnt like them so I gave it to a friend with a goldfish tank.

When I had some of the stuff, I crushed it up into an extremely fine powder and fed it to my smaller Bettas (I had some I got very young at a pet store). Had pretty good results with it, but it was mixed up with a BUNCH of other things, too, so I don't know if that made a difference.

my one cambo female loves those i break a small piece off and put near her nose.the other 2 hate shrimp.i think they smell bad though :X

Just crush them up, he would love frozen strimp.
