Feeding clown loaches

just wondering because they haven't been eating the flakes I put into the tank, so i will have to feed them something later on because they've missed the past 2 feeding sessions

Blood worms are loved by mine, as well as Hikari sinking carnivore pellets, spirulina discs and algae wafers.

I just read that you have a Pictus cat! I really want one! Are they compatible in a communtiy tank? I know they grow quite big though so I'd have to watch out!

My clowns luvv algae wafers, bloodworm and brine shrimp cubes! I got worried at first too because they wouldn't eat the flakes!

Clowns will eat anything that falls on the bottom basically there are scavengers.

and pim pictus are ok with a large community as they are a predatory catfish which eats anything they can, for example Nicks neon tetras will disapear fairly quickly and they should be kept in groups of atleast 3.

So I suppose my cardinal tetras might get eaten as well then? I do have 3 though...

cardinals would be eaten aswell...i was referring to a group of pim pictus although all tetras are shoaling aswell.

I hope this isn't hijacking the thread too bad: My clowns eat EVERYTHING! It doesn't even have to fall to the bottom. The weird thing is, they are the first ones at the top of the tank at feeding time! They swim almost vertically as the skim the top of the water for food. Does anyone else's clowns do this?

I do have a few questions about the cucumber: 1. Does it have to be blanched?
2. What is the best way to weigh it down?

I don't know about it being blanched and all, but I tie my down to a rock (use a rubberband--it floats back up when the cucumber is almost done) that I use only for that purpose.

Stole the idea from a local PetsMart. Works well.

Clowns love bloodworms, mussels, cockles, and just about any meaty food I've found, but also courgette as other people have mentioned, but I have found my 4 clown will go crazy for a slice of banana.
Seriously try it and your clowns will thank you!!!

Mine are exactly like that as well pnykl3.

The little stinkers like to get into the bowl I use when it's 'treat' day and I swirl the thawed blood worms/brine shrimp in the top of the tank.
