Title says it all really!! What should I be feeding my betta?

personally I use atisons betta pro but any pellet food would be ok. Some blood worm or daphnia (frozen or live) as part of his diet is good too but don't over feed him. Keep one day a week as a food free day.

I use Attison's pallet as well and my fish loves them, I have read that you should use more then one type of food. I use the pallets, freeze dried bloodworms and brine shrimp pallet. Fresh and Frozen food should be used as a treat because it can carry harmful bacterias.

I use TetraBetta pellets for regular food. For treats I use: dried mysis, bloodworms, and daphnia.

I would personally stay away from freeze dried as they can cause bladder issues in the fish. Live and frozen are fine as part of a staple diet, maybe 2 out of the 6 feeding days a week. I have never had trouble with live or frozen either and know that many people give them to their fish. Always best to drain off the water with the live ones though.

Thanks guys I have some frozen blood worms and daphnia so will use that as a treat.

As far with my experience with these fish, i would use betta pellets (make sure they have great ingredients), freeze dried foods(daphnia, bloodworms, tubifex) as a treat for Bettas. Your fighter shall love having frozen foods because they are high in taste(obviously not for us! Lol) and protein. I dont reccomend live foods as they can carry diseases. I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT USE WORMS! But hey im just giving you tips. Bettas can also be hand fed.

Atisons Betta pro pellet is the best betta pellet out there IMO

i feed mine 4 pellets once a day and a deshelled pea on the weekend with a sunday the day of rest from anyfood

hope this helps

They're carnivores, so I don't think that feeding them peas would be the best for them. I feed mine bloodworms (freeze dried) and Betta pellets. The pellets that I use are Hikari Bio-Gold Betta fish food-- they're made of shrimp meal and other stuff that Bettas like. Plus, they don't make the water all cloudy.

Peas aide digestion

Remember a bettas belly is the size of his eye feed a varied diet and don't over feed.

A good pellet food(you know my thoughts) steer clear from freeze dried foods and the odd day with a few blood worm or bbs but never on the same day

freeze dried if sued should be soaked before feeding as it expands when it hits the water, if your bettas are anything like my lot it would get eaten before this causing bloating :/

i've fed my bettas peas for years, does them no harm :good:
