how many pellets do u feed them
and how many times a day do u feed them
pl help as i'm not sure on feedin and how often

i feed them hikari betta pellets

It kind of depends on the size of the betta. I feed mine 3 pellets 2 times a day. Sometimes I give one or two in the middle of the day. If you see he's getting fat just reduce the amount you feed them. Although I also feed him a pea every week or two so he can release everything ;)

It really depends on the betta. Hunter, my new betta, acts like he's never eaten before. I fed him five pellets this morning and three more at lunch time because he was poking around the bottom of his tank looking for more. My betta, Batista will eat two pellets at a time, no more, no less, so I feed him morning, afternoon and night. My betta in the community tank, Jericho won't eat in the morning, but I suspect he eats some of the flake I feed the other fish. He eats 3-4 pellets in the evening. Some people will tell you once a day, but I have read that bettas need to be feed small amounts several times a day. That's what I do and it works for me.

It depends on the fish at my house, too.
My boys each get 3 pellets 2 times a day (morning and night) and occasionally (like every 3, 4 or 5 days or so) they get a couple of bloodworms followed up by cooked peas to make sure everything flows on thru.

The girls are a different story - they would literally eat til they exploded.
Since they're all together in one tank, I just drop in about 20 pellets (there are 6 of them in there) and let them go for it. It's a free for all feeding frenzy... I also have to drop in blood worms and peas about every other day because that's all that one of my little girls will eat.

I feed my guy 3 pellets in the morning and 2 at night. Works for us :)

It really depends on the size, age, and health state of your betta, as well as the size of your tank and the strength of your filtration. My fish are all athletes from living in large tanks with a reasonably strong current. They do fine with power filters, but because they need energy to fuel all the muscle mass they have from swimming in those conditions even with their big fins, they eat a *lot* of food. I feed twice a day anywhere from 4-6 pellets per feeding, and none of them are fat. In fact, I'm trying to "bulk up" Lug because he got sick and didn't eat for 3 days, and in that time dropped a ton of weight. I only fast maybe once a week, and a lot of times instead of fasting, I'll add maybe only 2 pellets per feeding. I will also try a high protien food like live blood worms at least once a week to keep them in good condition. However, if you have a betta in a 1 quart bowl with no filter who sits around on the gravel all day, he may only need 3-6 pellets a day rather than per feeding.
