It said on a site that bettas are somewhat carnivorus. Would I be able to feed them feeder goldfish or guppies? I would just buy one as a treat for it every time I go to the pet store wich is like once every week or two. Is this ok?

yes bettas are carnivorous. feeder fish are alwyas a risk if you buy them from the store. i breed my own guppies and sometimes give the fry to my bettas. full grown guppies and cretainly goldfish are too big.

thanks. My pet stores feeder guppies orent the big and i can probably find some small enough for him to eat. Then again i can always feed him my unhealthy guppies from the batch. Or the next whole batch i get as I am already overrun with guppy fry. I have like 70.

feeding him unhealthy guppies will most likely make him unhealthy..

i wouldnt do it..

feeder guppies are usually really weak, and often come with diseases..

i wouldnt risk it.. bloodworms or brine shrimp are probably better

By unhealthy I mean like stillborn, or the ones that have sacs. i wouldnt feed him the oneswith diseases, just the ones that are runts and stuff like i said b4.
