Normal Tropical Flake food will do. you can vary this diet by offering a de-shelled pea, live foods (bloodworm, brine shrimp, daphnia) or even pellets.
Yes, the normal peas. Even the frozen ones will do. Just wash it uder the tap, de-shell it and break it into little pieces.
The best way to feed frozen, is to add some of the aquarium water to a cup and drop a cube in there. It should defrost completely in about 10-15 minutes. At this point you can just empty out the entire cup in the tank. You don't want to add a frozen cube to the tank and cause a sudden temperature change or create pockets in the water where the temperature is significantly different than others, which can lead to disease and stress. It will take long for it to de-frost in the trank too, they might become bored.
