Hi can Featherfin Syno ( Synodontis eupterus ) go with platys and mollies as ive herd that they can

As most people like to add salt for mollies, I wouldn't!!

Although I have known people who add salt to their tanks with catfish so go figure!!

I personally don't like to add salt with catfish, nor do I recommend it

Not trying to start an argument, but I believe I answered your question!!!!

As I also said, "most people" like to add salt with mollies.

I guess I should have said in my original post "it would be alright if your not adding salt to the tank for the mollies"

i wasnt arguing i just said i never did without any probs i know lots of people keep them in brackish aquariums. Sorry for any offence caused x

babybell911...

No offense taken!!! I just thought cichlid-mad misunderstood my reply so thought I would explain it in another way.

While I realize many people add salt with mollies, I also realize many do not. It's a personal choice.

Hope this clears up any confusion.

IMO mollies are brackish fish, doing better in SW than FW. :/

Though on the catfish, aslong as you don't have any bottom dwellers, well maybe the plec and you don't add salt, you should be ok, well the other fish will be probably not the mollies.
