Hi!
Let me just give you a little bit of background..A work colleague moved away to Australia about 5 years ago and as he was going to destroy  his tropical fish so I re-homed them. :hyper:
They were in a medium sized tank for a couple of years which wasnt great as there were 3 big catfish and quite a few smaller ones, so as soon as i could afford it i got a bigger tank. Now I have a AR980 (about a metre long, bow fronted..)
and I have a large Common Plec, a very fat Featherfin Catfish, 2 Loaches, 2 Albino Corydoras, 2 Pearl Danios and 1 Three Stripped Catfish. I love them all the bits, but the problem is that lately the Featherfin is just uncontrollably aggressive (to all) but especially to my poor Plec. If I had chosen the fish myself i would not have got 2 fish (the third one (a talking catfish, died soon after i adopted them) which get so large in one tank, but I have them and i dont know what to do. I live with my parents and so cant get another tank to put Featherfin in, the tank we have at the moment is big but not big enough for two such big beasts! The Featherfin has a huge appetite, and steals all the food as quick as a flash and because the Plec is quite a slow mover he isnt getting enough. At feeding time they fight-its awful to watch - They are both looking damaged, fins ripped and Featherfin has scratches and now seems to have white spot too??! (I think he is really stressed out) and he is stressing the other fish out. Because i have quite a few bottom dwellers they all get hoovered up by the big agressive Featherfin if they dont get out of the way quick enough!!
Any ideas of what i can do? I fear i may have to get Feather fin re-homed... :(

Rehome it before it causes more problems.
My 2 are constantly nibbling on other fish, but nothing serious as of yet.

Hi Finderella :)

Welcome to the forum! :hi:

Since your problem is with catfish, I'm going to move your thread over to the Other Catfish section. Our members who post there will be able to help you. :D

I'd consider rehoming the common plec too - they do get large and a metre long tank probably isn't big enough.
