Favourite Type Of Fish

Tough decision. I was stuck on either new world or marine. I have a 275 gallon so far with 1 oscar and am planning to get more NW chiclids. However, since i am spending SO much time reasearching marine and understanding how to set up my own marine tank, i have found marine very intresting. The fish are amazing and have a lot of personality. There are SO many choices and each of them requires great care. Not many people have marine, and the time and money to take care of a marine tank. But if you do then i think a mrine tank is the most rewarding. If you compare 2 tanks, 1 being marine with live rock and corals, and comppare it to any FW tank ... the marine would look more gorgeous and its fact

I agree totally, i've seen some amazing marine tanks! like you say though, you need time, money but most important - knowledge. I've got plenty of time, but im seriously lacking in the other 2 departments!

Bettas. They're the only fish I have and even when I get a bigger tank, I doubt I'll find a fish with their personality!

If you get angelfish SPLiSH you will see they have more of personality (to me) than bettas do.

I went with CHARACINS becauseSome of the fish within this category are awesome! I love fish from S. America and Africa. There are many characins out there that are suitable for captivity.

ps - GO Tigerfish, Payara, Freshwater Barracuda, Blind Cave Fish!!!!

I'd go for more than an angel. I'd get 4-6 small angels then once 2 of them form a pair return the others.

Had to vote for CYPRINIDS, CHARACINS & ATHERINIDS as my favourite fish species are Australian Rainbow Fish closely followed by Cardinals & Rummy Nose Tetras

I voted for Bettas, though cyprinids, corydoras, and other anabantoids are close seconds.
