He looks quite a bit like Merlin, except merlin had a dark thick line down the nose. He's gorgeous by the way. Merlin was also quite slim lined. Looks like your cat is well fed (not fat). Merlin was too but he put all his into growing long. :D

xanthianacid, the picture you posted of your cat- is that him when he was alived, or stuffed? Yah, I know, weird question! LoL. He's very handsom!!!!

I think that takes a very strong person to stuff a cat. My hat is off to you..  I am sorry you lost your cat. I have so many cats I dont know what to do with them all...

Thanks xanthianacid :)

Your cat is gorgeous as well, I'm sorry you lost him.

Do you know what kind of cat mine is? -_- I adopted him from a place called Animal Aide and on his Health Record booklet it says his breed is "DMH" whatever that is :dunno:

Well, the pic I posted of Merlin was after the fact.

DMH would mean Domestic Medium Hair, but that is a guess.

Yep, sure was a handsome boy! Still miss him. I guess that's something that won't ever go away. Alot of the adoption places don't put emphasise on breeding really, as far as I can tell, they are more interested in getting a good home for the cats :D

Makes sense! :)

Thanks :D

I voted other because I personally prefer cats that aren't purebred. I like both long and short hair cats. I really don't choose my cats, I let them choose me.

I find almost all cats beautiful. There are some exceptions to this, as there are to everything. I don't like hairless to much, and I don't like the inbred look of the really pug nosed cats either. Other than that I'd have to say I love all kittens/cats for beauty grace and cattiness.

eh, it might be a bit stiff to look for cat lovers on a fish forum ;) i guess we're the odd ones out here!

i've always had a major interest in the manx breed when i was a little kid. last year, my grandfather received a couple of manx throw-offs (bob-tails) to raise as barn cats. they were only about 5 weeks old! needless to say, i claimed them "until they were old enough to live on their own." :look: one year later, they're living with my parents and are the sweetest, friendliest kitties we've ever had. although dad insists that "i have to take them back once i get an apartment that has pets".

my next top fav: Maine Coon. they're so cuddly and BIG :hyper: but i don't think i'd ever be up to dealing with all that hair

Thanks bloozoo. The "handsome chap" you mentioned is actually named "Ali-cat" because he is a she! :p

Two reasons why i did this poll.
There is a pinned topic basically the same dedicated to breeds of dog. I prefer cats myself, and it seemed appropriate to add in.
Another thing is I often read on people's posts and they have in their avatars and sigs mentions or pics of cats, lots more pics are dedicated to the feline persuasion.

Just a thought, an idea.

I also note that alot of people here actually enjoy all kinds of animals, many have horses, dogs, cats along with fishies which is our common interest.

Cheers. :D

Oh well make that a "lovely lady" then ;)
I just wasn't sure as ginger markings are usually predominant in tom cats - though she's quite mixed really. She really is beautiful :)
