Hey so today i was looking at live food for my adult bettas, but many cultures are quite small and may be difficult for a betta to see? So i was wondering what cultures you may have tried and what worked best!

ps whats the best for bettas to chase and feed that sorta way haha :good:

I love wingless fruit fly cultures. I use them for all my fish, killies love them. I'm sure bettas would love them too.

I mine Daphnia as live food as well as baby ghost shrimp lately (yeah mine have been multiplying and the fry are getting eaten fairly quickly).

Mine love mozzie wrigglers and I used to have a female years ago that loved ant eggs. Well all the fish got stuck into them but she seemed to really enjoy them as well.

Everyone likes somthin different  I see alot of Brine Shrimp and Daphina around so ill have to try one of them ! Anybody know whats the easiest to grow and keep alive ?

Thanks everyone!! :good:

Daphina are easyish to grow and are freshwater while Brine shrimp are a little bit harder and are salt water
As for Ghost Shrimp none of my LFS can seem to keep theirs longer then 2 weeks or even get them to breed (yay that I don't have their problems) but if you have the tank for them and need a small cleaner for food they work pretty good but you might have to put a sponge around your filter pump so the fry aren't sucked in...

i find white worms are good for conditioning bettas and growing on baby bettas, some people call them Grindals

Daphina i guess would be better then, i didnt no brine shrimp are grown in salt water (Thanks randomitity lol) :good:
