My favorite fish right now are my newfound interest in malawi cichlids. I'm absolutely in love with the Scianochromis fryeri and the Placidochromis phenochilus.

Tenx ) I love him, love him! My daughter is absolutely infatuated with him , she wakes up and kisses the glass and he kisses back, then of course she has to give him a good night smooch at the end of the day, she doesn't care diddly squat about the other fish, only him

He's in a 50 alone ATM, when I upgrade the fronts from the 120 he'll be moved into there. I'd like to find a mate but I figure my odds of finding a fish that is his size are pretty slim.

Wuv,on aquabid I saw a few large Midas for sale. Single ones. They were HUGE. Try checking there....I saw like 3 of them I think.

I finally worked out today just why i love them. Its because they are other wordly - all the other fish zoom about and do their business and stuff and the plec is at the bottom and doing things differently and at his own pace. My pleco is also INCREDIBLY beautiful when he has his fins out straight. he looks like a ship at full sail! Thats why I lurve Pleckys!
