Favorite fish

It can be saltwater too!
Ok!

1( Betta fish
2( Lion Fish
3( Corydoras (specifically pandas)

Betta fish: because I love them. So colorful, so much personality.
Lion Fish: I have loved these guys since I was really young (I even have a plush, lol). I hope to one day keep one. :)
Corydoras: Such cute little fish. Love to watch them play with my neons.

1. Dojo Loach (My Prim, Marigold, and Catnip)
-My #1 because they are the most goofy and personable fish I've ever met, and are so friendly with me and interactive

2. Zig Zag Eel (Spiny eels in general!)
-#2 because they are such interesting creatures and are so fun to watch and love! (RIP to my spiny baby )

3. Plecostamus (Gold Tiger)
-#3 Plecos are SUCH a diverse type of fish with so many different colors, sizes, and temperaments, and my girl Seze is easily one of my most loved fish, because shes not out/visible all the time, it gets SO exciting to see her!
Part of 2, but if we're not counting the logistics/tank sizes (like if we miraculously had the tank size needed), my DREAM FISH IS A FIRE EEL! I also really want oscars one day too!! Not to count my dream reef tank lol XD

I like your idea, but let say if you could get any tank you want with every equipment you want, and you can make the water parameter like what you wanted to BUT you can only put 1 species of fish there, what will you pick? :D

Firstly, I won't be including marine/salt water fish because there are too many beautiful and interesting species in marine.

Secondly, it won't be very interesting if you only have one type of fish.
I always keep community tank with many different species which make them more interesting and different species carry different uniqueness with them.
And you need bottom, middle and top level fish to make your tank more lively.

But if I really want only a single species, then I will choose a group of schooling or shoaling fish.

I think I might choose a group of Discus with Red, Yellow, Blue/Turquoise, and with different patterns such as Tiger stripes, Snakeskin, Rafflesia, Eagle, Leopard, etc.
But they require high maintenance.

My second choice will be a group of
Discrossus Filamentosa.

My third choice will probably be a group of Panda Loaches as they are the most active fish as they swim and climb over every part of the tank.

Here are some videos:

I’d have to say my top three would be:

1) Synodontis Catifsh: I’ve had him for almost 8 years now and he is just so adorable. His long fins and colors make him so pretty and when he comes out he looks like a shark in the tank!

2) Red Spotted severum: I have had her for about a year and she is so calm and loves to cone to the front of the tank whenever anyone shows up. She is really started to get her red colors!

3) Queen angelfish: Although I’ve never had a salt water tank, I have always thought of this one as one of the prettiest fish. Definitly will get in the future in my own house when I start saltwater

I just googled synodontis, they kinda looks like a cross between Cory and pleco don't they? Interesting, I never heard about them till now :D

Only a newbie but my favourite is definitely
1 : corydoras
2 : guppies
3 : swordtail
Yep sword tail is cool, I have the sanke variations, it should be 2 pairs but 3 of them dies in shipping, leaving me with 2 male and 1 female smh

That I’ve kept:
1/ Clown Loach
2/ Paradise Fish
3/ WCMMs
4/ Zebra Danios
Current tanks too small unfortunately.

Id love to keep Long Fin WCMMs, Hongsloi, Microdevario Kubotai, Dwarf Gourami, Panda Corys, other Corys, Asian Stone Catfish, Odessa Barb, Black Tiger Dario, Scarlet Badis, Florida Flagfish amongst others.

LFMMs are the only feasible ones atm but there’s none around.

2.) common goldfish(have some in my pond and they always beg for food and it’s hard to say no.
3.)Neon tetra( me and my brother had a tank with a very large school of them and they were realy active compared to other neon tanks I’ve seen.

That I want
1.)(Not a fish but i don’t care) Cleaner shrimp
