Fat Raphael Catfish?

Just got myself a striped Raphael Catfish, and its under belly looks swollen/fat... is this normal?

Have you fed it yet? Raphael cats will have big stomachs after they eat because they eat so much. Do you have a picture?

That would explain it! just came back and it seems to have went down from what i can see!

Yeah, they will eat just about anything. Once they get bigger, they will probably always look like that. Just keep an eye on them to make sure they are swimming and acting normal

my gf has this catfish and it's getting bigger all the time and it seems to have a chubby tummy, but more so after meal time

Yep, I have one Striped Raphael (approx 4") and two Spotted Raphael Cats (approx 3"), all of which are happy, greedy, fish
