Guy in the trader took down his tank and wants to sell his sump (Which is large enough to fit a 75 gallon tank) his skimmer, which is a hang on the back skimmer (And named.. Aqua ... something) And a 90 watt lighting system for 150$.

The sump at Uncle Bills...which is a local pet shop sells for 350$+, I can't remember the name of it now

The skimmer was 200$+ or so the guy claims.

He also said all of this was only in use for around 6 months...should i jump on it or pass ? He was asking for 400$ or so, until I talked to him. Ill of course make sure it looks nice, and not a wreck.

Again all of this was for 150$.

Ideas? Thanks.

Oh, and the lighting was two 90 watt fixtures. Which he said would be good for some coral/anenomes.

Ah, great point, ill make sure to ask if i make the treck to look at the stuff.

Thanks a million, any one else have an opinion?

The skimmer's prolly an AquaC Remora, probably the best hang-on skimmer in the states. Heck, the lighting system itself is worth more than $100 and the AquaC is worth a pretty penny, even used. I'd jump all over that deal. Even if the sump was treated with copper, $150 is a bargain for just the lights and skimmer.

Going to pick it up tomorrow :hyper:

Can't wait!! One question though, can i put the skimmer in the Sump? The skimmer is a hang on the back of a tank .. type.

The lights are power compact.

dunno for sure but i am gonna say yes on putting the skimmer in the sump. even if it wasn't designed specifically for in sump you could always make it work.
