What the ones buy straight out of tesco's, Frozen ones or should I cook em first? :drool:
 
I just feed my plecs the ready to eat king size prawns and de-shell them although i suppose you could also feed raw ones :)
 
maybe its just me, but if we are chatting about a pleco wouldn't it make more sense to post it in the aquarium or catfish forums instead of the non fish photos forum?



but alas I have those powers to make that happen.
 
Looks similar to fish that were imported as Peckoltia vitatta.

Yeah but I couldn't post the picture of it in that fourm so I did it here. I needed it identified and couldn't get a pic of it from the internet. sorry
 
why doesn't it have a common name?

does that mean it could be a cross of two species?
 
It just means its an unusual or rare fish, common names only develop after years of people buying and owning them- all plecs were once just numbers and scientific names. I do not think it is a crossbreed though- if you check out planetfish catfish.com you will notice there are hundreds of L no. plecs listed.
