Gotta say I don't like how regularly sized and spaced the caves are, but that's something that could be remedied with a bit of adjustment and revised planning. Aside from that, definitely a really neat idea!

isn't lava rock the coal you use for gas barbeques??

lol That would certainly be a cheap source! Is it the same as regular blew-out-of-a-volcanoe-at-some-point lava rock?
