My parents and I have not seen each other in years, and I'm not about to change that. So, I can't ask them.
But I heard once that a simple family tree can be sorted on line for free. Does anyone know how? All I have is my parents and grand parents names to go off. And I don't even know if any of these were born in Middlesbrough!

Also, I have a hell of lot of memories of being four or five playing on the streets of South Bank. But, the area is gone. On Google Earth my home is just an outline. I would love to get photo's and old maps from before it was all pulled down. Anyone have any ideas how to aquire these?

Any help will be greatly appreciated :good:

Hopefully this won't get deleted, I don't mean to start a debate or anything. But www.ldschurch.org and then find the family history section. They have what I believe to be the single largest collection of vital records in the world and they would be more than happy to help you find out anything you want about your ancestors.

I had a look and I don't think there will be any debate. But I am curious, a religious web site and I'm guessing by your location that you are of the Mormon persuation? Is it true that Mormons are brilliant at holding all genealogy?
Forgive me for being presumtuous.

Not sure what that means? But we are very serious about our family history. Our church keeps those records so people can trace their roots back as far as possible. My grandmother has our family lines completed back to the 8th century.

I hope that link helped you find what you needed, I'm certain that they can help you find out whatever you need to know. They are very willing to help.

Good luck
