This is the first time my fahaka puffer took on a small crawfish. It needs to eat them in order to keep its teeth trimmed. Well.. Enjoy the vid!

Poor lil cray. But it is the circle of life. I have 2 adult blue crays that breed like crazy. Is odd to see a cray from the other side of the spectrum mine have been lords of thier domain in tank they have been in.

Fish mongers and most supermarkets sell healthier (less chance of parasites) and cheaper ways to keep puffers teeth trimmed. Look for big prawns and the like. Even large bite-size apple snails (you could possibly even breed yourself to have a constant supply) would be more humane, cheaper and safer for the puffer.

It's awesome to see the power of the puffer and how exited it gets at the movement, but it's nothing like nature in a confined environment like that, totally alien to the cray, that's just been grappled by a much larger creature out of the water, possibly even fresh form the LFS.

Personally it's hard for me not to feel sorry for the cray, but cool video showing the power of puffers jaws :).
