:*) I am very new and proud fish owner! We have just began with 10 Neon Tetras. After having them only a couple of days, I am sure I have noticed that one of them appears to be particularly 'faded' looking on the red part. I have never noticed it before. Any ideas?

Need to no water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, what size tank, how many fish and which kind, and how long has the tank been set up.

it's either a disease. Or, what I have found is that if they are recieving not enough light their colours will fade and if it carries on they will die. If you ever turn on your tanks lights and they are that colour, leave the lights on till they recieve enough light to get their colour back and then leave it on for a few more hours. If noticed early you will not have any problem ;)
Hope that helped

Hang on a moment, NTD is reletavly rare and if these are new fish in a brand new tank and is cycling, this would be the most likely explanation for color loss in the neons due to the stress of the cycle.
How many gallons does the tank hold roughly and how long has it been set up for?
How many neon tetras do you have and do you have any other fish and what and how many?
Do you know about dechlorinator, ammonia, nitrates and nitrites?
