Age and condition:
Juvies, average size is 1.25"-1.5" not sexable at this size (or even worth a good guess.)
Quantity for sale:
Currently have around 100 brown and 50 albino available, how many would you like?
Reason for Sale:
Need to reclaim tankspace, the little BN's are everywhere.
Delivery or Collection:
Shipping or local pickup, your choice.
Sales price:
Browns are $2.50 each, albinos $3.50, no discounts for large numbers at this price.

At this size I can ship up to 4 Priority Mail in one breather bag for $8, or larger numbers for a few more $$. I have 72 hour heat packs available for $3 more. I took 80 ~2" browns to the lfs a couple weeks ago, still have a few dozen brown and albino of that size on hand. Also have well over 100 smaller browns growing out, but no smaller albino's. I sold off the breeding male that was producing brown and albino fry, and the 2 brown females spawned with a red male from Germany before I sold them as well. The smaller brown juvies are mixed with the red, and I also have a new brood of red/red fry just out of the cave.

Here's a few older pics of red BN, the red/brown fry look the same as any other brown fry.

The two largest males and a one of the females are very orange. Here's a couple pics of a pair before they were moved into the 30L:

The new red/red fry are out of the cave now, but don't look much different from the other fry. I may have to move the larger, dominant male out of the tank to allow the other male to spawn. Here's a pic of the single red/red fry I was able to save from the first brood:

That one is now over 1" long and growing well, color looks like the parents.
Shipping cost depends on box size, flat-rate boxes are the best bet for more than 2 bags of fish. I use breather bags, and have heat packs available. The size of the fish determines how many I can pack into a bag, usually up to 5 2" or 8 1" for Priority Mail shipping. I can fit 3 bags in a medium flat-rate box with styro insulation and a heat pack, 4 bags in a large flat-rate box.

im sorry if this is an odd question but are plecos and ancestress(sp?) one in the same? because i have what you have pictured in the second pic, but was told it was a species of ancestress and NOT a pleco.

Simply stated, all Ancistrus are pleco's, but not all pleco's are Ancistrus. Ancistrus is the genus of pleco's that covers many different species of bristlenose or bushynose pleco's. The bristles, mainly found on males, sometimes much smaller ones on females, are the distinguishing characteristic of the genus. In general they're probably the fastest-growing of the pleco's. It takes about 8-9 months from hatching to reach sexual maturity, whereas other types like Panaques and Hypancistrus may take several years to mature.
The origin of the common BN is uncertain, and it's speculated they may even be a hybrid. In any case, they're easy to keep, easy to breed, and excellent algae eaters throughout their entire life. Max size is 5" for an older adult, breeding starts at about half that size when the bristles grow out on the males.

Still have some available?

I will be getting rid of all my cichlids in about 3-4 weeks, (waiting on a guy to get his tank set up) Im sure you will still have some right? I will deff take 2 maybe 3 of them. Soon as my cichlids are gone. :) I have one male now, I would like to have a female or two, but you said they arn't sexable right now. But my mom deff wants one too.

I have a couple hundred brown and about a dozen albino available. The albinos and a few of the browns are a bit over 2", most of the browns are between 1-2".
I also have several extra red males available for sale.

Do you know of anyone who has longfins? I seen them at a petstore about a hour from me and they was about $60. I'm not paying that much for something that may die in 2 weeks...... There fish and tanks never look very good.

Are their any left?
I have about 50 super red juvies ~1.5", and at least twice as many regular browns anywhere from 2" juvies to breeding adults available. No albino's left, but do have a few fry growing out. Shoot me an e-mail if interested, I don't receive reply notifications from the forum.

Couldn't find your email bit I am interested in purchasing quite a few plecos. Could you email me at [email protected]. with the subject title plecos so we can set something up?
