cant get any better pics, so sorry.. i dunno if it the roots just been got at by whatever this white stuff is... im really hacked, it seems like the harder i try the more that goes wrong
Still looks like bloom to me, via pm you said you put the heater back in today? In which case, bacteria multiplies faster in warmer water and this may be the cause of the bloom. If water stats are stable, I wouldnt worry to much, I know it looks nasty, but it wont be hurting the fish.
Tomorrow, do the water change, add the carbon and let it settle, see how it goes.
not stable.. everything is at 0 ( including nitrates) ill test again in the morning and see where im at, i really want them to get the last bit of meds, so not a lot i can do tonight
thankyou so much for all your help mags, as usuall i know im a pain
shelagh xxx
hope you can ake out the " dust" in the pic as i cant get a better pic
test results are still showing as 0 for everything
will test again in the morning, need to do a water change today of course and add carbon
sorry minx i didnt answer the question, nitrates are usually 10 its a 3 week old API master testing kit and had a good reading on tuesday so think that knocks away any chance of a dodgy kitand the specs in the tank are fine bubbles
Glad to hear its cleared up a bit this morning, looks like a fungus growing over stuff, white mucusy, can you confirm that? If it is, stick a couple of your apple snails in, they will munch it all right up (obviously dont let the loaches get them!).
