Take away the habitat, and a "DNA based resurrection" is just a moving photo of the species.

It will never be a perfect world. But the ability to always have your favorite fish in your tank is a decent compromise.

Makes me laugh.

There's a reason the Dodo went extinct, Bringing it back will only send it in a new extinction era.

It would probably need an upgrade to make it. loll.

The dodo went extinct because of human stupidity. They were well evolved for their habitat until we showed up.

I don't know that any of this could work. A well funded park with 500 mammoths would be cool, until someone pulled the funding. The extinct fish would need breeders once they were back. It's very hard to stay alive if you depend on short sighted apes to keep you that way.

I would love to time travel and see what this region looked like before we infested it, but... I imagine we can prove that we can do these things, but they'd all go extinct again, since without a restored environment, they'd have to count on humans.

Are you saying there is no chance that humanity will redeem itself?

nope, Nature always push something else.

So it's nearly impossible to bring back species even if their habitat is still there. They have been replaced most of the time.

Like we replaced the Homo erectus, something else will replace Homo sapiens

I can't figure out any way to answer about redemption without politics getting involved... Just call me a pessimist.

Without a global mindful human ascension to a greater consciousness and caring level, for everything.

I'm a pessimist too.

I couldn’t get out of bed in the morning if I was a pessimist.
