Can anybody recommend an external for the Lido 120.

Was looking at the eheim classic 2215 rated at 620 L/H or maybe a tetratc ex 700. Or would I need a bit more umph.

I have a Fluval 205 on mine that is rated at 680LPH, but I feel it still need more power. Im going to change to this filter, soon.

All pond? Haven't heard much about this filter good or bad. Good price.

Maybe the Eheim 2217 maybe a better choice. Rated at 1000 L/H.

I think the tetra ex1200 will be too much.

If you do go with the APS then go for the 1400 as the 1000 is poor imo. The Fluval 305/6 would be a better option. :)

No experience with the ex700, but everyone who has them swears by them. :D

I filter a 120l with a 2213 and it does the job perfectly, although there is not many fish in it.

In my opinion a 2215 would be ideal, although nothing wrong with going for the larger model. The eheim classics are in my opinion brilliant. They are designed in a way that all the water passing through the filter contacts the media which I believe is unique to them and they hold a lot of media for their size. Plus they are quiet, I have a 2217 on a difference tank and with it in the cabinet the internal fluval U4 is more audible.

And don't get too hung up on flow rate, how good a filter is depends on lots of other things too.
