External Filter Suitable For Fw And Sw

Looking for a external filter that is reliable, cheap, easy to maintain that could be incorperated to a fish only saltwater tank if the time comes.

Hmm. I'd be looking towards the Eheim classics or ecco range. Relatively cheap, easy to maintain and replacement parts readily available should they be needed. I'd go with Eheim over Fluval anyday.

TetraTec Ex1200 - preforms just aswell as an ehiem, but at only 1/4 of the price.

Best on the market:
Ehiem Pro (but also the most exp)


Btw I actually have exp with both ehiem and tetratec.
