1. What is the best way to change from a internal filter to external filtr.

2. Will i have problems with my airstones if i put sand in my tank.

Hi all, couple of questions,

1. What is the best way to change from a internal filter to external filtr.
Is it possible to run the two for a while just to build up beneficial bacteria in the external and the gradually reduce the flow from your internal

2. Will i have problems with my airstones if i put sand in my tank.
No wouldnt of thought so unles you are burying your airstone. If you are using the external through a spray bar should not need an airstone
