Ok so I have been reading around and I think these are some intresting fish. I am planning out a 50g tank and was originally thinking a Serra but now I was thinking a school of Exodons might be freakin cool. Anyway has anyone kept these things and maybe has a little experience and info for me!!! Also this will be a planted tank and if I get the exodons they will be the only thing in there.

They are great but not quite the monsters people claim. You will need a group of at least 8. They are always trying to establish the power structure and with a small number the weaker idividual picked on will be killed.

I had no issue keeping with other fish including some baby snakeheads, Botia and an assortment of others. The only issue I had was when in an emergency I had to put two FW Barracuda in with them. The next morning the Cuda's stripped bear of scales and dead. They are natuarally scale eaters and seem to go for silver fish.

Get them they are great.

They are great fish, full of movement and personality (In terms of the clan, not so much individual personality). Their constant battle for dominance is interesting to watch and the most dominant fish will patrol the middle of the tank -- claiming the area.

They attack food with gusto, but are really pretty wimpy and are afraid of me, still. :p Great for the smaller tank and very entertaining.

I'd definitely try them if I were you!

Yeah I love them but I have been trying to track down a few with no luck. Most places only have like 2 or 3 or none at all is this a difficult fish to find in Canada?

I had same problem as you, they wern't impossible to get but the price I would have to pay for a group of them made them unaffordable for me, maybe its different across the pond though.

Try and see if you can make a deal with one of your LFS's. They can order a certain amount for you, give you a discount for a group, etc. Worth a try. :)
