Hi i have just bought this filter and i am doing something wrong , i set it up as in the booklet , but there where to small rubber rings left over , don't know if they were meant to be attached to pipe ? I have started pushing the button on top of the unit to get the water to siphon , but it is not filling the tubes ? please can somebody help me ?

The rings are spares - possibly for the ones fitted onto the inlet/outlet tubes that sit in the tank. As for priming, keep pumping! it will fill the canister, and all will be well Unless youv'e got an airleak somewhere. I have to pump my EX1200 a fair few times to get it going.

You pump for a while to fill the canister then it will feel like its doing something. you should see the water drop.

i have primed mine a few times and its fine.
