Erm Yeah, Erm Rash!

 If rash/numbness/ache spreads any further than your arm maybe you should ring NHS direct/ take a trip to A&E!
(Obv. hoping it doesn't!)

If its calming with the anti histamine and the cream its an allergy.

You have your next allergy test soon don't you??

Make sure you tell them what you had been in contact with just before it happened.

I meant did you get any acid on you before or after putting it in the tank, not diluted in the water

Just thought of something that might help you with this, if you're anywhere near a country/farm store (like Countrywide or Mole Valley Farmers) you could buy yorself some calving/lambing gloves to protect your arms when they're in the tank.

There are shoulder length thin plastic gloves (disposable) & come in boxes of IDK, maybe 100?, usually used by a vet/farmer to...erm..put their arm in a part of a cow/sheep you'd probably rather not! (we sometimes have to help cows calve/ sheep lamb minus gloves, gets a bit messy though! ) They have suitably daft name like Silkies or Softies or something.

HTH
