I wondered that too Socrates, but can he claim copyright on an idea? Remember he's not sending an actual product...like I said, mail's already come today, so it will be at least tomorrow before we know...
Well it's going to come in writing, so that makes it more than just an idea.
I went to a copyright and patent seminar once for writers and inventors. Basically, what they said about ideas, writing, etc, is that anything you come up with has an implied copyright. For example, if you write a a paragraph that describes a flower, that paragraph has the implied copyright. They said all you have to do to be able to enforce people not reproducing without permission is to prove that you wrote it.
They suggested that instead of paying copyright fees, that all you have to do is seal something up in a Fed Ex or Post Office envelope and send it to yourself to get the date it was in the envelope proven. If you ever need it, then you can unseal the dated envelope in court.
Now this was a brief seminar, and I'm no lawyer, but look at things like onlne AP articles. I doubt they file copyright paperwork on every one of them, but they sure could sue for infrigement if you reproduced the article in whole without permission.
Like I said I'm no lawyer, but I've found over theyears that most sites like this one will insist that you post a link to an article or other information rather than post the article or information. They do this so they won't be party to infrigement.
I'm jut pointing it out as something to consider because I like this site and I hate to see it have some kind of problem.
