I was recommended to do this as my fish is not eating and looks bloated. Is it 1 table spoon per gallon of water? And then a fourth of a table spoon in another bucket of water? I put him in the stronger dose one for 10 minutes then In the other one for 10 minutes and then back into the tank?

I recommended you to do an epsom salt bath for your fish in a 5 L bucket, not 1 tablespoon per gallon ;) I used 3 tablespoons for those 5 ltrs and I have aerated the water for 30 minutes before putting in my swordtail girls in. One started pooping immediately and second had to get another bath the same day, next day they were swimming perfectly nad I have fasted them. Good luck :)

Thanks. So it can’t be deadly to the fish at the right amounts? And I only have 5 gallon buckets so I’ll just fill them up a fifth of the way up. Did you do the recovery bath after? Do I need the aeration?

I don't know about using it as medicine, but I use epsom salts to increase the general hardness in my rainbowfish tank. It isn't toxic to fish in normal amounts.

Yes, I did another (second and no more) epsom salt bath. Salt takes up oxygen in the water so you would need aearation.
