Endlers

most endlers are endler guppy crosses, 99% of lfs endlers are crosses
almost evry petshop ive been to have sould or sale endlers i have not seen any shop
with true endlers,
the biggest give away is with lfs endlers is thet the females are way to large comperd
with a true endler. and there should be no colour in the females.

The photos of my endlers
are of a cross although one type wos recently sent to me as a true endler i would never pass
them on as true endleras as i am not convinced they are true endlers,
unless you can get them from a very Reliable fish keepers such as people like aldman47 who will
have the collection data Were and when they were collected and so on)

These are my black bars. Originally from a professional Endler breeder although I don't have pedigree info about them.

I saw them in the pic above this post in my aquatic shop. They were gorgeous.

As discussed earlier, not many shops have pure endlers in stock - most are endler-guppy hybrids, so you've lucked out if your local shop has pure endlers. Often male (and female) hybrids are larger with longer fins than pure endlers, but of course an endler-like fish without these traits may not be 100% pure either.

Almost all my male endler fry grow to have the distinctive diagonal black bar across their body, but of course each male is uniquely coloured. Occasionally there is a male with a horizonal bar as below.

I shall endeavour to find out next time I visit, even snap a piccy. If they 'pure' I might just have to get some and a little tank for endlers only :ninja:

any one have a pic of a true female endler, we got a breeding pair and the male looks like the above pics, the female is bigger and has no color but is beginning to get bigger so im expecting fry soon.

I am looking forward to getting some of your Endlers when my tank has cycled they really do look stunning!

To be honest E-Bay is your best bet.
They are advertised there fairly regularly and recently I got
15 endlers sent down from the Shetland islands - a good price too.
They are the black bar endlers seen in pics on the first page...
2 x male and 13 x females to start a breeding community.

Though as stated by others I don't know for certain how pure they are. :good:
