I agree with Tangokitty that they are beautiful in low light but the same is true of many other fish including fancy guppies. I try not to let my personal liking for endlers keep me from noticing just how nice some of the better guppies can be.
Trying hard looking at the pic I would venture to say its a hybrid. Going by the tail, many class N endlers have that tail, but the dorsal has too much color and the body color isn't vibrant enough for an endler.
Susan, I'd have been there with you if the picture wqas clear enough to know that it wasn't just out of focus. My lower red sword breeding experiment also has a lot of color in the dorsal so I wasn't ready to write it off for that feature.
If you can get a side shot it would be easier to tell. If you can find a small container, about the size of a tic tac box and put him in it you can get a good shot of him. You can buy these at a craft store.
