Hi. I just got a larger tank (100 gallon) so everything from the 72 gallon is going to go int there and that leaves the 72 gallon tank empty. What can I put in the 72 gallon? I want something that is interesting, nothing like tetras or anything like that. Thanks

You could attempt a planted tank, they look hard to do but I assume it's very rewarding if you get it right, plus theres plenty of guides throughout the forum to help you and you could get some nice shoals of little fish to go with it. :D

Or maybe a fire eel?
Is 72gal enough for a fire eel?
TFF fire eel profile says the minimum is 180gal. I also would like to have one but the tank I'll be getting will be too small for it (90 or 100gal) that's why I'm interested in the tank size.

I would have a Severum and build a community tank around it.

hmmm. put a sting ray in it lol. or a gar, gar's are cool.
What can I put in the 72 gallon?
but i would suggest you start by putting water in it lol

a african brown knife or a black ghost knife and some rope fish and a bichor

SEVRUMs and / or angels and / or gouramis and / or sharks (i like using all and's where and no or's:p)

Go marine. Do a reef. Or if you don't want to, do a cichlid tanks, as already suggested. Or maybe brackish.

I personally would do a planted community tank, with tetras and cories and rainbowfish. But that is a little boring I guess. I think it's relaxing.
