Empty 10 gallon

lol, I don't think mice would do well in a terrarium, though. ;)

Any other reptiles or amphibians that would do well in a ten gallon terrarium?

Firebelly toads. They're such characters. I have two living in a heavily planted 1/2 ground 1/2 water 10 gallon terrarium with a Whisper 15 filter. They are interesting to watch, and very neat to listen to. Just don't keep em by your bed like I have mine, or they'll sing and sing and sing all into the night.

They're not difficult to keep either. Water changes weekly and toss in a couple dusted baby crickets or waxworms here and there and they're good.

One of my firebelly toads is my little avatar.

Ummm, might sound a little ordinary, but what about an American toad? They're free, they're cute, and they aren't tropical so you don't have to worry as much about temps and humidity. As soon as my brother takes my catfish I'm going to empty the ten I'm cycling now and get a bunch of toad eggs. Once they get their legs and stuff I'll let them all go outside and keep one for a pet. And you can get the males to sing on command, because when they're mating I often sit near the water where they are and do this little thing with my tongue, and they get all huffy and sing back lol. Males are smaller than females (like by half or maybe a third), but I think you could keep one in a ten gallon no problem. And they eat anything that freaking moves, so no picky eaters to deal with. Just my thought...

Or, you could go with a smaller snake, I think corn snakes don't get all that big, but I don't know for sure, the only snake I ever actually had was a baby black rat, and they get I think about 4 to 6 feet long.... The only problem is if you're squeamish about live food...

You can keep a crested gecko or two in there with some mantella frogs...I would suggest the Mantella frogs or dart frogs beucase they eat the same things geckos eat so its just that much easier...i prefer crested geckos over most others because they are tropical so you can really make a nice looking setup for them and they also look awsome...BTW, the pictures I have seen of the them online don't do them justice they are extremely colorful. its one of my favorite pets i have ever owned.
